Hopefully by now you’ve seen the announcement in The Weekly that the People’s Choice Competition is going virtual. Due to social distancing guidelines, we are unable to resume the in-person competition when meetings resume on July 1st. So, we have designed and tested a new, digital competition in order to get back in the swing of things!
Here is how it will work:
- The competition will be open to digital entries for one week. Entries will need to be uploaded via a Google Form (very similar to the process for our traditional digital competitions. See image at the bottom of this post for a sample.)
- The voting process will be open for one week after the end of the entry week. A new Google Form will be created for voting purposes, and a link to the entire gallery will be available for you to peruse prior to completing the form.
- The results will be shared on our website and announced in The Weekly after the competition ends.
*It is important to note that ALL aspects of the People’s Choice Competition will be the same with the exception of the digital entry and voting process. Every month, there will be a new theme. These themes are still published on the contest page. Every member is allowed to submit one (1) image per month and will receive a club participation point for doing so. Tina Jordan, our current People’s Choice Manager, will be reviewing the votes and using the same algorithm to determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners as was used in the in-person competition.
Get your images ready for the next theme: FOOD. The next competition will be open for entries from Sunday, July 5 – Saturday, July 11th. Click here to enter!
