Nature Photography Walk at Creek Fest 25 March

This Saturday morning is also a club outing to the St. Augustine Alligator farm, but if you're up for a double header, this FREE event at 11am with Will Dickey may interest you. It's part of a longer event in the north end of Jax.

When:  Saturday, March 25, 2023, "Nature Photography" walk will start at 11 am

Where:  NPS' Cedar Point, 9023 Cedar Point Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32226. Park at the end of the Cedar Point Road.

What:   A walk with photographer Will Dickey through the National Park Service's beautiful Cedar Point, one of Jacksonville's premier wilderness preserves that will include a visit to the Fitzpatrick Ruins and the scenic bridge connecting the National Park Service's property with the City of Jacksonville's Cedar Point overlooking pristine salt marsh and associated wildlife. The surface is natural and flat (total distance about 2 to 2.5 miles)
The 7 Creeks Fest is a free, family-friendly event providing an opportunity to celebrate and explore the scenic waterways, diverse ecosystems, and the many trails of the 7 Creeks Recreation Area. Spread throughout seven connected wilderness parks and preserves surrounded by seven creeks, the 7 Creeks Fest raises awareness of these 6,600 acres of preserved public lands in Jacksonville and how we can help protect them. The activities of the day include a number of guided nature, history, and photography walks/talks, a Jr. Ranger Angler fishing clinic, kayaking and canoeing, health and environmental exhibitors, hands-on science activities, a camping clinic, kids arts and crafts, and music (including the Nan Nkama Pan-African Drummers and Dancers!).
