Washington Oaks Gardens State Park

The west side of the park offers views of the Matanzas River and nature preserves beyond, while the Atlantic side offers coquina rock formations for landscape photography and numerous sea bird populations.

The formal gardens are the centerpiece of the park on the west side, with displays of native and non-native plant species including azaleas, camellias and bird of paradise. The gardens have winding reflection ponds sheltered by 200-year-old oak trees covered in Spanish moss. Both landscape and flower photography opportunities are abundant.
