The Weekly is a publication of the Jacksonville Camera Club. It provides a heads up of the coming events and announcements of a timely nature. Club Contests
People's Choice: The May winners have been announced and they can be found here.
Digital Contest: Submissions for the 2nd Digital Contest open on June 10 and run through July 8. The categories are: General, Humor Me! and Architectural Photography.
Monochrome Contest: This year's Monochrome Contest has the collection dates of July 7 and July 21.
You may submit up to five (5) prints into this contest. No more than three may be in any one category. The categories are the same as the regular Print Contest: General, People and Nature. Winning images and their kindred may not be resubmitted.
Educational Opportunities
Educational online classes are updated as soon as they become available.
The Education Chair updates online classes. As of the end of May there are a number of new Photography online classes available in June so check it out and there is a new Education blog post as well.
June 2 meeting recap.
Our first meeting in June featured our own Bill McSherry discussing architectural photography. As he mentioned this is one of the categories in the June - July Digital contest. His talk was very interesting and inspired this photographer to go out and do more experimenting.
