The Weekly is a publication of the Jacksonville Camera Club. It provides a heads up of the coming events and announcements of a timely nature. It contains both Club events and other items of interest to members. If you have feedback or something to announce please see directions in the sidebar. Thanks for reading.

 Events Calendar

The next meeting is Thursday, April 23. the 4th Thursday!

  • Program: Print T1 competition results, Young McQueen

Upcoming Meetings:

  • May 14: "Creative Devices" by Jeff Swinger (NOTE: May meetings are the 2nd and 4th Thursdays!!)
  • May 28: "15 Minutes of Fame", JCC members. (NOTE: May meetings are the 2nd and 4th Thursdays!!)
  • June 4: TBA (NOTE: return to usual 1st and 3rd Thursdays -- therefore 2 meetings in a row, May 28 and June 4).

Outings

  • May 30: A special presentation by fine arts photographer, John D. Elliott, jointly hosted by Jacksonville Camera Club, Beaches Camera Club, and St. Augustine Camera Club.

In Memmorium

Longtime JCC  member and former president, Dick Cardell, passed peacefully around midnight on April 18 at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday April 25th at Congregational Church of Christ, 431 University Blvd N, Jacksonville, Fl.

Previous Meeting

  • The program "Capturing Timeless Beauty" was presented by Mark Battista in our zoom meeting of March 19. If you are interested in Mark's e-books on Still Life or composition you can email him at m16battista@comcast.net.  He also has an eBook on amazon titled ," Finding Inspiration: Helping Photographers Get Out Of A Creative Rut". That eBook can be purchased directly from Amazon.
