People’s Choice Guidelines

What is it?

People’s Choice is a fun easy way for JCC members to have their work voted on by their peers.  There are 12 monthly Themes that are determined by the People’s Choice Chair.

When is it?

This competition is offered during the first meeting of each month. Each month has a different theme. One point is earned for participation, no points for 1st, 2nd or 3rd awards. This point is added to lifetime points and not the annual Shutterbug Award.

Who can enter?

This competition is open to all JCC members.

What are the rules?

Any JCC member may enter one unmounted print on any size paper up to 8.5 inches on the short side and 11 inches on the long side (color or B&W). Collages or multiple images on a single paper are not permitted. There is no restriction on when the picture was taken. Picture Themes marked cell phone should be taken with a cell phone.

The People’s Choice Chair needs your name and image title, on the on the back of your picture. No identification on the front.

The print should be turned in to the People’s Choice Chair when you arrive to allow time for all prints to be logged in, labeled and displayed prior to the beginning of voting. Voting will begin 6:45pm. All members are encouraged to judge and vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd whether you entered or not.
