Minutes of Meeting – September 5, 2018 – SOTW

Jim Jordan sub for both Brian Leonard, Pres. and Bill McSherry, VP, and opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m..

Outings – Craig Shier/Mike Rexroad – Sept. 15th, downtown Jacksonville architecture and tour and sunset, begins at 3 p.m.- Craig asked that we meet at 2:45 p.m. at the Village Bread Cafe at the Landing. Then later on meetup at Friendship Fountain for sunset. For those that would like to meet up at 12:30 for lunch. All information is on the website.

Website Update – Young McQueen – Had no new updates for the website

Q4 Digital Contest – Jim Jordan – Submissions open from September 1st to 30th – General, B/W Cityscapes, Patterns….

Member Retention and Orientation – Don Dymer – No new updates.

F3C Update – Julius Dean – Print competition is open – submit images $4.00 per person for shipping and the next meeting will be the last time to turn in. F3C Digital ribbons to Don Dymer – yellow ribbon, blue ribbon, 3 – Julius Dean, Jack Stephens

Monochrome Prints – Julius Dean – Turn in Tonight – last night to be turned in

New Member/Guest Introduction – Jennifer Thompson – Barbara Guriac subing – One visitor – Kathy Ellmaker, also Rebecca Janseen has moved back to Jacksonville and Diane and Ron Cohen returned.

Brags – Brian Leonard – Anita Fanic had an image from the Alligator Farm and won Honorable Mention and also $300.

Raffle – Anita Fanic – $35.00 = $17.50 for the club and $17.50 for Don Dymer

People’s Choice – Tina Jordan – September – “People in Action” and in October – “Beach Related”and November’s theme is “Words of Interest: signs, bumper sticker store window, etc.”

Special Message – Rick Hartmann – told the members of the illness of Gordan Ira – it is to do with his heart. Would love to receive emails from any members that would like to have contact with him.

Also, Rick reminder members of the fall outing in October and to make sure that they bring warm clothing for the outing.

Tonight’s Meeting Program – Rick Hartmann – Understanding Levels and Curves in Photoshop – Rick once again gave us some of the most valuable information about using Photoshop. If you did not attend you missed a good one.
