Upcoming Outings:
January 14 Jekyll Island . Please sign up on the website if you are going. Information on the shoot and bicycle ride is also posted on the website.
February 4th Hoggetowne Medieval Faire will be led by Betty and Fred Raiford.
February 28-March 1st is a Mike Moet’s Workshop on Macrophotography. Currently there are 2 spaces available.
March 30-31st is a trip to Cumberland Island led by Brian Leonard.
JCC Banquet:
Jim Jordan and Duffy McCoy updated the club on the status of the January 28th banquet to be held at the Jacksonville Country Club. January 10th is the cut-off for buying tickets. Duffy reported that we have gotten great support from local sponsors and raffle prizes will be drawn.
LPIG Group:
The LPIG group will not meet this January but will resume in February. Rick Hartmann will bring his granddaughter to model.
Website Update: Young McQueen updated the club on the website.He said that 75 members have signed up and he will continue to encourage further sign-ups. He said the structure of the website has been established and he is now working on the contents. He encouraged people to send in photos for the main page. They should be 1080X 1920 pixels (16X9 aspect ratio)
He talked about lost passwords and told the group they needed to use their user name (not email) to change their password.
He talked about future possibilities for the website including an online payment system and weekly activity updates.
The digital contest has been redone and the instructions for entering and area to enter is now contained on one page simplifying contest entry.
Board Installation:
Dennis Adams the 2016 Vice President swore in the incoming 2017 Board members, Present were: Gordon Ira, President; Craig Shier VP; Bronwyn Horvath, Secretary; Jim Jordan, Treasurer. Julius Dean and Brian Leonard were installed as Directors.
F3C News:
Julius Dean handed out ribbons to the winners of the previous F3C contests, The JCC won 15 ribbons overall including 6 blue ribbons and 9 yellow ribbons. This is one of our best showings in the F3C contests.
He passed out F3C conference brochures and requested that all prints going to the first 2017 F3C print contest be given to him on January 18th All Information about the contests is on the F3C website.
Library: Dennis Adams has volunteered to be the 2017 Club Librarian. He will be making a proposal to the board on a proposal on what to do with our current library materials.
Christmas Party:
The President issued a “Thank you” to the Horvaths for hosting the JCC Christmas Party in 2016.
People’s Choice:
Tina Jordan has taken over the People’s Choice contest. She handed out ribbons to the winners of last month’s contest.

New Members: There were 2 new members and one guest.
Brags: Young McQueen encouraged people to look at a sale on Creative Live and highly recommended the site for learning.

Craig Shier gave a presentation on Shenandoah Valley: Highlights and Shadows covering people’s pictures from our Club outing to Virginia last fall.
