JACKSONVILLE CAMERA CLUB
MINUTES OF MEETING # 14 – JULY 20, 2016
The second meeting of July 2016, was held at Shepherd of the Woods Retreat Center, 6595 Columbia Park Court, Jacksonville, FL 32258-2414.

Business Meeting
Gordon Ira, President, called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M.
Gordon Ira reviewed the dates for upcoming competitions, outings, and events.
Gordon Ira discussed the following:
— The Dean Editing outing will be held on July 23rd at 10 a.m., and the Still Life outing will be held on August 20th at 10 a.m.; both will be held at our meeting location.
— The August 17 meeting will be a Blind Critique Night organized by Young McQueen.
— On Saturday, November 12th Dr. Christine Cook will lead a Judging Seminar, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at our meeting location. There is a $50 fee plus lunch.
— Meeting Minutes can now be found on the JCC website under Nexus/Club Documents.
Young McQueen, Webmaster, stated that the new member galleries are set up to provide up to five links to a free cloud service of your choice, Google Photos, Flickr, or whatever you choose. If any member has any trouble or wants their images from the previous site he will assist them.
Jennifer Thompson , Membership chair, reminded the members that club annual dues
are due. Dues are $35 single or $50 family.
Charise Tanner , digital chair, announced the Digital Competition categories for 2017.
Julius Dean reminded the membership that Monochrome Competition entries will be
collected at both August meetings.
Dennis Adams gave an update on Dirk Den Boef’s health.
Program at next meeting: The August 3rd program will be a Sell, Buy, and Swap event organized by Julius Dean. Members are encouraged to bring equipment they no longer need.
People’s Choice Contest: No new information presented.
50/50: Richard Brice had the winning ticket.
Bragging Rights: None.
Guests: None.
New Members: Mark Phillips joined the Club tonight.
Program: Olis Garber made a presentation on the photography trip that he led to
Iceland.
