JACKSONVILLE CAMERA CLUB
MINUTES OF MEETING # 5 – MARCH 2, 2016
The first meeting of March 2016, was held at Shepherd of the Woods Retreat Center, 6595 Columbia Park Court, Jacksonville, FL 32258-2414.
Business Meeting
Gordon Ira, President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Gordon Ira reviewed the dates for upcoming competitions and outings. He noted that there will be an opportunity to photograph antique tractors at Dudley Farms, on Friday, March 4, 10 to 3. He also stated that the Viera Wetlands are active with wildlife at this time. He stated that Jan Vallely requests submission of photos from the Olustee outing, taken in Manual mode.
Gordon Ira discussed the first meeting of the Lighting/Portrait Interest Group (LPIG) on Wednesday, February 24th. The next meeting will be a Gordon’s home, on March 30. Darrel Joseph will assist with this meeting
Richard Bryce discussed the Zoo outing on March 19. Rick Hartmann will assist. Details will be provided in an upcoming email.
Don Dymer announced that the following Members received awards in the F3C 1st Triannual Print competition: Richard Bryce (two awards), Don Dymer, and Caroline Peppiatt.
Program at next meeting: The results of the 1st Quarter Print Competition will be presented on March 16th.
People’s Choice Contest: Dutch Angle. Kim Pitcock announced the winners: 3rd – Charise Tanner, 2nd – John Neel, and 1st – Kim Pitcock. The theme for April is: Anything Music Related.
50/50: Don Dymer won $29 in the 50/50.
Bragging Rights:
Robert Clark sold photographs he has at a gallery in St. Petersburg. Phil Cope sold several prints of a bird photograph. Richard Bryce provided a tiger photograph to the Zoo, for their use.

The results of the 1st Quarter Digital Competition were presented by Charise Tanner. Charise also requested input for 2017 Digital Competition themes.
