Marineland Sunset and Sunrise – May 17th and 18th

Note: Registration Form is at the bottom of this post.

Overview

NE Florida has a few beaches which have Coquina rocks as a feature (pictured above).   May’s outing will be to the Coquina beach at Marineland.  It will consist of both a sunset and sunrise opportunity.  On Friday May 17th, 2019 the sunset outing will begin at 7 PM  (actual sunset at 8:15).  The sunrise shoot on May 18th will begin at 5:30 AM (Sunrise is 6:29am.)  You can come to either earlier or later, but allowing time to shoot as the light fades or increases, will generally yield better results.

Directions

Take 95 south to Highway 206 east to Crescent Beach. Turn right on A1A, and go  approximately 7 miles to Marineland.  Just south of the Marineland attraction, there is a beach side parking lot with a boardwalk.  We recommend you park close to the south end of that lot.  There are also restrooms located at the south end of the lot. The Coquina Rocks begin about 50 yards south of the boardwalk.  There is also a parking lot the right as well, but then you will have to cross A1A.    On the Google map link below, the beach is named River to Sea Preserve.

Location – River to Sea Preserve
