St. Augustine Nights of Lights

ST. AUGUSTINE  NIGHTS  OF LIGHTS

Nights of Lights is the winter holiday celebration in St. Augustine where each historic downtown business and many residents participate by lighting up their buildings. The Nights of Lights celebration was chosen in 2011 and 2012 by National Geographic as one of the ten best holiday lighting displays in the world.

Notes

Especially significant light displays are visible at Flagler College and the Lightner Museum. The main plaza, called the Plaza de la Constitución, features lights draped around every tree.  Another business known for their light display is the Tini Martini Bar and Casablanca Inn. The view of the bayfront from the Bridge of Lions during Nights of Lights is a favorite for many, and a guaranteed photo opportunity.

Photography after dinner is on!   We're having dinner in the city and may have less people walking in front of our cameras after dinner!

  1. I LOVED LOVED LOVED this outing. It was my first time to see the lights and now I know what all the fuzz is about. It’s truly spectacular and almost magical. I also enjoyed having dinner afterwards. The night was wonderful! Thanks Jan G!!

  2. Weather turned out to nearly perfect. The club had about 20 members show up. The lights were spectacular, from tree lights, to the Christmas tree with presents underneath & the gazebo decorated.
Then the camaraderie of the A1A Ale House for sharing dinner amongst friends. A wonderful & perfect night.
