The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Wellness Check: Duffy McCoy – going thru tests; Kathy Jaworski – is taking some more powerful antibatoics ; Rebecca Janseen is going to have knee surgery in the future.
Changes in Print/Digital Contests: Young McQueen – Board met last week on changes to the print and digital competitions, there will be one less competition for each. Digital can have up to 4 images and only 2 in any category; print is the same for submitting 3 images; and Monochrome still submit 5 images.
Digital Contest Update: Introduce Karen Sirnick/New Due Date March 15 – New chair as of February and requested not to wait til last minute to turn in images. Categories – General, People Related, Nature Related.
Print Contest Update: Introduce John Neel – is new chair as of January – reminder to send in digital copy of the prints that members have submitted and in the future to submit the digital copy also.
Library Liquidation Auction: Jan Vallely – will be silent auction beginning March 1st and ending on March 31st. Board approved the auction to liquidate the hard cover books in the library.
Workshop in May: Jan Vallely – The workshop on Lensbaby will be May 8th and 9th – and will be on the speciality lenses. Need to sign up for workshop as soon as possible so the lenses can be reserved.
Outings Update: Rebecca Janssen – Brian Leonard – March outing is to Tallahassee this may change so keep an eye on calendar and will have an email sent out if a change is made; Craig Sheir will be leader for April’s outing which will be at St. Augustine for the Florida Birding Festival and to get $25.00 off use the passcode CAM2020.
Fifty-Fifty Drawing: Anita Fanic – Total $48.00 = $24.00 to club and $24.00 = Jan Vallely
Update: Insurance/Inc : Young informed the members of the club having liability insurance that was approved and also about incorporating the club and if anyone needs to find out more on either of these issues contact one of the board members.
Brags/Announcements/Comments: Open Call – Bill McSherry said that there is a lot of activity at The Alligator Farm – egrets and rosetta’s.
