Jacksonville Camera Club General Meeting Minutes

President Ted Floore called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
Ted stated that the Nominating Committee consists of Peter Fitzpatrick, Sonia Grutter, Tina Jordan, and Craig Shier. Please contact them if you are willing to volunteer next year.
Ted stated that our digital contest is currently open.
Ted stated that member Jenn Samsel is working for the Keystone Heights newspaper.
Ted stated that SOTW will have an outdoor event on October 26, and it is requested that some members volunteer to attend and take photos to be shared with SOTW.
Ted discussed the UNF Lifelong Learning Program, which allows people age 60 and older, to audit classes.
Ted discussed the zoom programs that Club members have been able to access from home. Members who missed them will be able to see them in the future. One was on iPhone photography and one was on Bird Photography. This is in coordination with the Beaches and St. Augustine Clubs.
Dave Wholey discussed an outing on September 28th to Falling Creek Falls State Park.
People’s Choice – September awards: 1st – Jim Angelo, 2nd – Craig Shier, 3rd – Ernest Mistr.
Raffle 50/50: $ 18 was collected; $9 went to the Club and $9 went to a member.
Visitors / New Members – New member Russ Lawry introduced himself.
Bronwyn Horvath stated that her program on October 17 will include travel tips, and photos from Australia.
Program Brian Leonard introduced the Monochrome Print competition. Walter Lara the judge, was present and commented on all the images.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
