Jacksonville Camera Club General Meeting Minutes

President Ted Floore called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Ted stated that our digital contest is currently open until Oct 11. Bill McSherry reported that more entries are needed.
Brian Leonard discussed the print competition. He stated that it is very important to use the current submission form, which is on the website. This requires our membership number. Please contact him for assistance with the digital version of the submitted print.
Rebecca Janssen discussed the death of long time member Dee Hartmann. There is a card for Rick and the family, for us to sign. There will be a memorial at their home this coming Sunday afternoon.
Ted stated that SOTW will have an outdoor event on October 26, and it is requested that some members volunteer to attend and take photos to be shared with SOTW. We can also attend the unloading of the pumpkins this coming Saturday at 9 am.
Anita Fanic discussed an outing to the Cracker Day Festival at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds in Elkton, on October 19th. The outing to Falling Creek Falls State Park is rescheduled to November 2.
People’s Choice – Is taking place tonight.
Raffle 50/50: $ 22 was collected; $11 went to the Club and $11 went to a member.
Visitors / New Members – Linda Tranter visited and introduced herself.
Program The program was a zoom program by Sharon Farmer, a former White House photographer. She showed many images, and discussed photography, especially images of people and events.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
