General Meeting Minutes

President Ted Floore called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
Ted stated that Robert Clark is recovering from knee replacement surgery and has resigned as Vice President. A
volunteer is needed for the Vice President position. Other volunteers can assist with program planning.
Volunteers are needed for: Print Competition Chair/Assistant Chair, Education Chair, and editor for the Weekly. Jenn Samsel has volunteered to be the Facebook Public Page manager. We are in the process of getting the page active.
Ted announced that there will be a Board meeting on January 25, at our current location.
Ted stated that F3C is accepting entries for the first triannual competition through Feb 1.
Ted reported that the Beaches Photography Club may have a workshop in 2024 regarding lighting and models. Contact Ted for details.
George Hoskins discussed Rick and Dee Hartmann and the health issues they are dealing with. Robert Clark is recovering from knee surgery. Cards for them are in the back, for members to write notes and sign.
Raffle 50/50: $21 went to the Club and to Linda Card.

People’s Choice – The January winners were: First, Irene Ward, Second, Jenn Samsel/Ernest Mistr (tie), Third, Anita Fanic/Karen Sernick (tie). The February theme is Nature.
Anita Fanic announced that the Annual Banquet will be on February 10, 2024. Volunteers are needed. Registration and payment information is on the website.
Anita discussed outings and activities. The next outing is January 27 at the Hoggetown Medieval Faire, in Depot Park, Gainesville. Details and signup are on our website.
A group of members plan to go to Merritt Island on February 3. This is an informal meet up. Contact Anita if interested in going. The Olustee reenactment will be February 16 – 18. The Scottish Games and Festival will be in Clay County, February 24th.
Program Dan Robusto gave an excellent program and slide presentation on a trip to Antarctica.
