Dee and I were invited by long term friends to visit them in their home in the mountains of Franklin, NC. Many of you know our friends as well as friends of the club, Bill and Jeanne Vaughters. Franklin fell in the path of the total eclipse and the event was photographed in the Vaughters' backyard.
I found shooting the eclipse physically difficult because the camera was mounted on a tripod and the sun was almost straight up. As a result, I only managed to capture one decent image and that is the one featured here.
