Prepare Images to meet your vision and the above guidelines.
Well Done! That was a lot of work. Everything remaining is simple.
This is just one of many possible workflows. Of course if you make an error that could have been avoided by making this folder, it is going to be a little difficult to complain or ask for someone's help.
Makea folder with a name such as, JCC Digital Contest 2017 Q1.
Save the folder where you can find it. Of course, it can be nested within a more general folder, etc.
Place all saved elements relating to the contest in the folder. This includes images, text notes, screen captures, ideas, etc.
Make another folder named, Final Images or the like, and nest it within this folder.
If you wish information on making folders see this for Windows.
The goal at the end will be for your entries to be the only files within the folder named, Final Images.
Mandatory Step. Digital Contest Admin needs to know who entered (points) and who won (points and glory).
When you submit this form, you will receive an email with the file name you created. You can then be sure this file name matches the name of your entry.
Digital Contest Entry Registeration
Go the folder you have named final images. Rename these images to match the filenames you created in the previous step. You may copy and paste to prevent errors.
This step is simple but if you misname the images it could prevent your images from being judged.
You will now have your final-images folder available with ONLY the images you wish to upload to the contest.
When you click the drop-it-to-me link you will see this screen:
Type in the password in the box circled in red, then click the arrow or hit return key.
You are taken to this screen:
You may (1) go to your folder, final images, select all and drag and drop on the box or
You may (2) click on the “SELECT TO UPLOAD” button and find you images and select them.
After you execute either of these methods you will see this screen:
Your file names are shown to the left. The check mark shows your images were successfully uploaded.
Ready? On to the Upload tab.
Please Stop and Double Check Your Filenames Before Uploading
They should have this format:
YYYYQxTx-Your Image Title.jpg
Example:
2017Q1TA-The Golden Beach.jpg

Password: 2017q2
After you upload the files and check that the process was successful, just close the tab. You are finished. Good Luck.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I change an already-submitted image?
Just submit the new image and request the Digital Contest Manager to delete the older one. If the filename changes you can specify the behavior by filename. If the filename does not change just request by relative date/time.
How do I email the digital contest manager?
Can I use special characters in my image title?
Your image title becomes part of the image filename. It is always best to not use special characters in filenames. New browsers can handle spaces and usually dashes but I would avoid all others. Even it the program accepts them it is not good practice. Since you filename and title will show up later, for example, in the presentation slide show, it is always good to also AVOID ALL CAPS.
Please Follow These Guidelines:
How do I register a Practice image?
You follow the normal process with the important difference: When choosing the year to create your filenames choose the "year" TEST. It is that simple.
Can I do an actual image upload using my TEST image title?
Yes, definitely, All entries for both registration and upload with the initial word, TEST, in the filename are ignored in the contest.
How do I email the digital contest manager to see if I did everything right?
