Board Elections for 2025

At the last couple meetings of the club, our President, Ted Floore, has been soliciting volunteers for the upcoming election of next year’s club officers. The table below shows the members of the committee.

If (or maybe when) you are contacted about taking one of the board positions, please give full consideration to accepting. Alternatively, if you are already hoping to be asked, please let Ted or one of the current officers know ahead of time.

From the Constitution

ARTICLE V – Officers

The following officers shall be elected by the membership: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and three (3) Directors.

ARTICLE III – Elections

During the first scheduled meeting in September, a Nominating Committee consisting of five people shall be nominated and approved by the membership in attendance. 

The nominating committee will present the slate to the membership at the first scheduled meeting in November. Additional nominations will be accepted from the floor.

ARTICLE IV - Duties of Officers and Directors

Duties of the President shall be to preside over all meetings of the Jacksonville Camera Club and Executive Board, to appoint committee chairpersons, to be a voting member of all committees with the exception of the Nominating Committee, and to act as club spokesperson.

Duties of the Vice President shall be to assume the duties of the president in his/her absence, to plan the programs for meetings and to obtain speakers or presenters.

Duties of the Secretary shall be to keep minutes of regular Club and Executive Board meetings, and a list of officers, and committee chairs, and attend to the general correspondence for the Club. The secretary shall maintain current copies of the Constitution and Bylaws and make them available to the Membership Chairperson for inclusion in new member packets. The Secretary is responsible for preparing ballots for membership to vote on changes to the Club Constitution or Bylaws. The Secretary will also make copies available in a reasonable time to members on request. In addition, the secretary shall keep the records of service and honors points earned by the members.

Duties of the Treasurer shall be to have charge of all finances, collect dues, maintain proper accounting records, prepare a monthly report of Club finances and keep the Membership Coordinator, President, Vice President, Secretary, Directors, Competition Chairs and Clicks Editor informed of paid-up members.

Duties of the Directors shall be to act as representatives of the members at meetings of the Executive Board. The Directors will serve as mentors for new members and any member who seeks their assistance for issues related to the club and/or photography. The directors shall also act as greeters for visitors to all JCC meetings.

The Executive Board will schedule an annual audit of the Club’s financial records.
