‚ The third meeting of February 19th, 2015, was held at Shepherd of the Woods Retreat Center, 6595 Columbia Park Court, Jacksonville, FL 32258-2414.
BUSINESS MEETING
Before calling the meeting to order Teri Sherrod, President, announced that coffee and snacks were being served in celebration and appreciation of Marianne Prophal ¢€ž¢s 20 years of service as Club Librarian. ‚ Marianne Prophal is resigning from that post, though she is maintaining her general membership in JCC.

- ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ Marianne Prophal was thanked for her service. ‚ She spoke of how much she enjoyed it and received a hearty round of applause from the membership.
- ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ The F3C 2015 General Competition ‚ submission deadline is February 21st ‚ Each member may submit 1 entry. ‚ JCC is entitled to two entries to the F3C Competition. ‚ Darrel Joseph will review the club members ¢€ž¢ submissions and choose the 2 JCC entries.
- ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ Gordon Ira and Jan Gemeinhardt will lead the March Club Outing on the evening of the 7th at Gordon Ira ¢€ž¢s house. ‚ The subject is light painting. ‚ All those who are attending are urged to study the numerous light painting tutorials on the Web in order to be prepared for the workshop.
- ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ Young McQueen announced the 2nd Quarter Digital Competition categories BIRDS IN FLIGHT, BUTTERFLIES & WILD FLOWERS. ‚ 3 entries/member, no more than 2 entries in one category. ‚ Monochrome or color acceptable.

Charise Tanner announced that she is making a JCC survey of gadgets, special equipment, procedures, incantations anything idiosyncratic that a member employs to make their photos special. ‚ She passed out forms for members to fill out. ‚ She will compile the data from these forms and make a report.
Jan Gemeinhardt reported that the light painting workshop held on Saturday evening (March 18th at Gordon Ira ¢€ž¢s home) was attended by well over 20 members. ‚ She said the sign-in sheet of the outing was lost. ‚ Therefore, attendees must go onto the website and enter their attendance point. ‚ Furthermore, there will be no more points paper trails for outings and meetings from now on. ‚ Members are responsible for logging in these points. ‚ ‚ All other points (competition prizes, special activities, volunteering, etc., on behalf of JCC) will still be recorded by the Assistant Secretary (Paula Pradella).

Outings Jan Vallely reminded the membership of the Gainesville outing on Saturday, June 6th, at Kanapaha Gardens and the Butterfly Rainforest . Jan Gemeinhardt said the web site’s slideshow of 2nd Quarter Print Competition ribbon winners will be up and running soon. She suggested that those members who were still not receiving email blasts check their spam boxes. She also announced that the St. Augustine Camera Club will hold a camera gear swap meet at the Agricultural Center on Saturday, July 18th, from 9 AM ‘til Noon. Tables are $5, if reserved in advance and $10 on day of sale. Gordon Ira added that he has reserved a large table and all are welcome to share it, space permitting.
Lee Bailey reminded all print contest entrants to pick up their prints and that they will be stored in the JCC closet at SOTW. He also asked ribbon winners to properly identify the digital copies of the images they send in to him for the web site slide show and to Gordon Ira for publication in CLICKS.
OUTINGS:
— Jan Vallely reminded everyone of the St. Augustine Landing portrait shoot on August 22nd from 10AM ‘til Noon. Kim Pitcock and Gordon Ira also urged all to come out for this because it is greatly appreciated by the residents and their families.
— Jan Vallely also described the October 17th outing at Dudley Farms in Newberry, FL, which will end with a sunset shoot at Cedar Key.
Young McQueen announced the categories for the 4th Quarter Digital Competition would be GENERAL/OPEN; OUTINGS; and CLICKS COVER. The CLICKS cover style and content is completely open. He also revealed that health issues will limit his active participation in Club activities for a time. He asked for volunteers to run the Digital Competition judging presentation at the September 2nd Meeting and to make a powerpoint display for the presentation. He also called for a volunteer to lead the Lightroom sessions in August and September. Bill McSherry volunteered.
Steve Smith announced he will be accepting entries for the 2015 Monochrome Print Competition at the two Club Meetings in August.
Gordon Ira reported that the August 5th Meeting Program will be presented by Chris Moore who has made other presentations in the past. He also said that he and 2 other members were going to the Oxford FL area on Monday July 20th to photograph swallowtailed kites and he invited any interested member to go along.

It is the policy of the club to offer a position of Director to the outgoing President. In the event he/she declines, the board will appoint an alternate Director. Two of the three director positions are discretionary to be voted on by the board during the last board meeting of the year. The remaining director will be recommended by the nominating committee.”

The six appointed voting chairs shall consist of the print competition chair, the digital competition chair, the Clicks editor, the membership chair, the mentor chair and the librarian.

MINUTES OF MEETING # 1 – JANUARY 6, 2016
The first meeting of January 2016, was held at Shepherd of the Woods Retreat Center, 6595 Columbia Park Court, Jacksonville, FL 32258-2414.
Business Meeting
Gordon Ira, President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Induction of Officers: Gordon Ira, President; Dennis Adams, Vice-president; George Hoskins, Secretary; Jim Jordan, Treasurer;
Directors, Lynda Smith (not present), Bill Coppedge, and Bronwyn Horvath, were sworn in by Charise Tanner .
Introduction of Chairs/Service Positions: Stephen Smith, Print Chair; Charise Tanner, Digital Chair; Jennifer Thompson, Membership;
Young McQueen, Webmaster; Jan Vallely, Outings; Gordon Ira, Clicks Editor; John Neel, Properties; and Librarian , JoAnn Devine.
Young McQueen, who is helping the Glennie Nature Salon chairman (Dirk den Boef) asked the membership to join in and have a good showing this year as a salute to Dirk and all the work he has done in the past. An email with details will be forthcoming.
Jan Gemeinhardt discussed the January 15 outing at EFG Orchid Nursery, DeLand.
Bronwyn Horvath mentioned a kitchen item missing from the Christmas party.
Jim Jordan discussed the annual banquet to be held January 30th at the University Club of Jacksonville, beginning at 6:00 pm.
Volunteers are needed for set up at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Reservations will be accepted at the next meeting. Only 17 commitments have been made so far, and he asked that folks get their reservations in as soon as possible.
Charise Tanner, the new Digital chair, stated that the 1st Quarter competition is now open. See the website for details.
Stephen Smith, the new Print chair, stated that 1st Quarter prints can be turned in this month.
Program at next meeting: Jan Vallely will discuss Outings.
People’s Choice Contest: Theme – Funny Signs. Kim Pitcock announced tonights’ winners: 3rd – Don Dymer, 2nd – Dan Robusto, and 1st –
Les Satz. The February theme is That’s Love.
50/50: Jim Gutru drew the winning $29 ticket.

Gordon Ira discussed his vision for the Club in the coming year.
Key Points:
New Badges, to identify Club leaders, as well as guests and new members.
Questionnaires to get information on members’ interest in programs, learning areas, etc.
Possible development of new Interest Groups for members, to include a Portrait Lighting Group.
Boot Camp – Information and education on topics of interest, such as composition, exposure, etc.

MINUTES OF MEETING # 2 – JANUARY 20, 2016
The second meeting of January 2016, was held at Shepherd of the Woods Retreat Center, 6595 Columbia Park Court, Jacksonville, FL 32258-2414.
Business Meeting
Gordon Ira, President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Young McQueen encouraged participation in the Glennie Nature Salon. He recommended that members go to the Glennie website for information about the criteria for meeting the NATURE category. Further details on how to enter the contest will be provided in an upcoming email.
In regard to the website, Young stated that security is always an issue. He recommended that all members keep their internet browser updated, and stated that out-of-date browsers will not be supported, especially Internet Explorer (IE) 8 and earlier.
Jim Jordan asked that members consider signing up for the annual banquet to be held January 30th. He reviewed volunteer needs the morning and afternoon of the event.
George Hoskins, Secretary, stated that recent Minutes, and other materials, are available in notebooks he will bring to each meeting. Minutes will also be posted on the website. He announced the death of Mary Cardell, wife of Dick Cardell. Dick is a former JCC president, and Lifetime member. A memorial service will be held on January 24th. A card was provided for members to sign.
Craig Shier discussed plans to have a Help Corner, from 6:30-7:00 pm, each meeting, in the back of our room. Various members will volunteer to be there to discuss issues that members have. If the issue is specific to a camera, it is recommended that you bring the User’s Manual.
Program at next meeting: Don Fraser will present the next program; subject TBA.
People’s Choice Contest: Kim Pitcock presented certificates for the winners at the previous meeting. The February theme is That’s Love.
50/50: Lee Bailey won $31 in the 50/50.
Bragging Rights: Richard Bryce published a book, The Beauty of God’s Word, with his photos, and scripture verses.
Guests: Dale Kaminer and Jon Montigny were first time visitors; both are now New Members.
Program
Jan Vallely presented a program on 2016 Outings, as well as possible 2017 outings. Leaders of all upcoming outings spoke briefly, and a slideshow of outing sites was shown. Jan stated that as each outing approaches, full details will be in Clicks, and will also be provided in Club emails.

Gordon Ira, President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Gordon Ira discussed the new color coded name badges, which are in use for the first time tonight.
Gordon Ira requested additional candid photos from the Annual Banquet, to be included in a future Clicks.
Gordon Ira announced that the Lighting/Portrait Interest Group (LPIG) will be starting soon.
Gordon Ira gave out ribbons from the F3C 3rd Triannual, on behalf of Jim Lowell.
Courtney Cox spoke about the Club’s support for the auction of photographs that benefits the Salvation Army. Jan Bell, with the Salvation Army, provided additional information. Club members who want to contribute matted photographs can bring them to the first meeting in March.
Keith Garrett discussed the Olustee Civil War Reenactment outing on February 13.
Dick Cardell discussed the Scottish Games outing on February 27. He also thanked the Club for the card he received after the death of his wife in January.
Linda Carter spoke about the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia outing in October. Linda and Rebecca Janssen will be the coordinators.
Young McQueen announced that there is a Youtube tutorial about entering the Glennie Nature Salon. He also announced that a group of 21 members have agreed to be in the website beta test group.
George Hoskins presented Level I Progressive Awards to JoAnn Devine and Marek Pawlowicz. He also stated that members can continue to record their meeting and outing attendance in the website points system.
Craig Shier announced that several club members utilized the Help Corner, which took place from 6:30-7:00 p.m. this evening. Craig and other volunteers will offer the Help Corner before each meeting.
Program at next meeting: Susan Michals, professional photographer, will present the next program.

Guests: Jan Bell, Evie Hooper, and Diane Wise were visitors. Diane Wise was a member of the Club for many years. She mentioned that her husband, Robert, also a former member, died in August.

MINUTES OF MEETING # 4 – FEBRUARY 17, 2016

Business Meeting
Gordon Ira, President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Gordon Ira reviewed the dates for upcoming competitions and outings. He noted that there will be an opportunity to photograph antique tractors at Dudley Farms, on March 4.
Gordon Ira reported that he had contact with Club member John Moore, who is in hospice care. John extended a greeting to all Club members.
Gordon Ira announced that Jim Jordan, Treasurer, has completed an expense report on the Annual Banquet. The report will be in Clicks and on the website.
Gordon Ira announced that the first meeting of the Lighting/Portrait Interest Group (LPIG) will be Wednesday, February 24th, at 6:30 p.m. It will be in a modular building that is on the right as one approaches our meeting location. Brian Leonard will assist with this activity.
Dennis Adams, Vice President, passed out flyers on upcoming programs of the Jacksonville Professional Photographers Group. Members of our Club are invited to attend.
Charise Tanner gave out ribbons from previous Quarterly digital competitions. She also spoke about the themes in the upcoming digital competition.

Lee Bailey announced a raffle to benefit the St. Augustine Orchestra. He noted that one prize is to have an orchestra quartet play at an agreed time and place.
Young McQueen read a letter from Dirk Den Boef, about the Glennie Salon submissions and their judging. He then announced the ten images that were selected to represent the Club. Young reported on improvements in the speed of our website. He is working on the calendar of events, and on new galleries. He stated that if members are having issues with their passwords, they can contact him.
George Hoskins presented Progressive Awards to Jack Stephens, Brenda Johnson, Jim Hunt, and Caroline Peppait. Jan Gemeinhardt and Caroline Peppait received Top Ten Point Awards for 2015.
Programs at next meetings: The results of the 1st Quarter Digital Competition will be presented on March 2nd. The results of the 1st Quarter Print Competition will be presented on March 16th.
People’s Choice Contest: Kim Pitcock presented Awards for the February contest to: Don Dymer, Irene Ward, and Richard Bryce. The theme next month is Dutch Angle.
50/50: Mary Hoskins won $23.50 in the 50/50.
Bragging Rights: Robert Clark has photographs at a gallery in St. Petersburg. Kim Pitcock announced that she will be a photographer at the Taste of St. Augustine event, in April.
