Executive Board Minutes  Dec 26, 2025

Two motions were voted on by the board by email in December. Both passed with 6 members voting, all voting yes on both motions.

The actions approved by these motions are:

1: The following changes will be instigated for the JCC Print Contest to take effect January 1, 2026.

1. The Monochrome Contest will be terminated.
2. A Monochrome category will be added to each of the three triannual contests.
3. The number of entries into each triannual contest, by each member, will not exceed six (6) and only three (3) may be in any one category.

2: The method of determining awards in print and digital competitions is changed.

1.     Ribbons will be awarded to 25% of entries in each category, rounded up, e.g. 6 entries -> 2 ribbons.
2.     A minimum of four entries is required to qualify a category for judging.
3.     Entries in a category with fewer than 4 total entries will be moved to the “general” category (allowing possibly more than the usual maximum for an entrant).
