Community Involvement and photo ops

New from San Marco Library. This letter was received by the club on November 7:

Hello,

My name is Ryan and I am the branch supervisor at the San Marco Public Library in Jacksonville Florida.

I wanted to connect with local non-profits, businesses, and organizations that have an impact in our community's history.

We are having a Time Capsule event at the San Marco Library on November 15th. It is in celebration of the building's 75th Anniversary having opened in 1950. We are collecting notes, letters, pictures, etc to place in the time capsule. I'd love to invite you to come out to the event and consider adding a brochure, flyer, business card, or some kind of memorable contribution for your business / organization in 2025. It's obviously completely free and as a library we aren't offering any sponsorships or asks of that regard. I just wanted to personally invite anyone in the network of history and community to come out to the public library on November 15^th and connect with some local leaders.

We will have refreshments, activities, a photo booth, and some community partners tabling. One of the key pieces I'm ecstatic to share is the photo booth itself. Guests can have a copy for themselves and a copy for the time capsule. They can write on the back too.

The event starts at 11am with a program. The time capsule will seal at 1pm and the event ends proper at 2pm.

• Members also post to the club's private Facebook page, so join in there as well. Check for the latest photo challenge or post to show what you have done or find interesting.
