Jacksonville Camera Club General Meeting Minutes

Shepherd of the Woods, 7860 Southside Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32256   Date: December 5, 2024

President Ted Floore called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Craig Shier reported that he fixed a website issue with paying dues. If anyone finds a problem on the website, please take a screenshot of that section/screen and contact him.

Ted announced that members should renew their dues at this time. We can pay online or contact the Treasurer.

Ted reported that John Neel can no longer keep our print racks at his home; we need a volunteer to keep them in a garage/storage area, for the next year. They will be used at the February banquet.

Ted announced that he would like to have nominations for the annual Presidents Service Award. Any member can submit the name of a member who is deserving of this award, for their contributions to the Club. There is information about this on the website.

Ted mentioned that Colors of the Wild at the zoo is a good photo opportunity. He also encouraged members to experiment with multiple exposures, as discussed at a recent program.

Anita Fanic discussed the outing to Deck the Chairs at Jax Beach, on December 7 at 430 pm. She discussed the Dec 19 Holiday social. Members are encouraged to go on our website and sign up for the food item they will bring. Members can also submit favorite images from the year to be shown as a slide show.

Anita stated that there will be one meeting in January, on the 16th. She discussed the Banquet on February 1st, the cost is $50 per person. Sign up is on the website under the Blog. She is looking for volunteers to organize and lead outings in 2025.

People’s Choice – Is taking place tonight.

Raffle 50/50: $30 was collected; $15 went to the Club and to a member.

Visitors / New Members – Keith Bartholomes (print judge) visited.

Program  – The program was the results of the T3 Print competition, presented by Brian Leonard and Keith Bartholomes, judge.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
