General Meeting Minutes

President Ted Floore called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Craig Shier gave the report of the Nominating Committee. The following were nominated: President – Jim Angelo, Vice President – Anita Fanic, Treasurer – Karen Sirnick, Secretary – Peter Fitzpatrick, Directors – Sonia Grutter, Tina Jordan, and Dave Wholey. There were no nominations from the floor. Rebecca Janssen moved to accept the nominations and the members voted to accept them.
Ted announced that a Board meeting will be held on November 14; it is open to all Club members.
Ted showed images taken at the SOTW Party at the Patch event; these were provided to the church.
Ted reported that the F3C final competition results were announced. Winners from previous competitions were judged. JCC had 37 entries in the competition but no new awards.
Anita Fanic discussed the Dec 19 Holiday social. Members are encouraged to go on our website and sign up for the food item they will bring. Members can also submit favorite images from the year to be shown as a slide show.
Rebecca Janssen discussed her recent experience of finding that there was fungus damage to several lenses. She advised members to clean their equipment and store it properly after taking it outdoors.
Ted stated that no outings are scheduled at present; a member reminded the group that Porchfest is taking place in Jacksonville this weekend.
People’s Choice – Is taking place tonight.
Raffle 50/50: $41 was collected; $20 went to the Club and $21 went to a member.
Charise Tanner reminded members that the Photoshop Virtual Summit is taking place this week; the link to it is in our Weekly newsletter.
Visitors / New Members – New member John Martin was introduced.
Program – Bill McSherry presented the results of the T3 Digital Competition. The judge, Hillary McCullough was present and commented on some of the images. Due to a personal situation she did not complete the presentation.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
