Schedule of Events

We will be starting the outing at 3:00 for anyone who wants to come early and photograph the animals in late afternoon light.

The zoo will be closing from 5-5:30 to exit everyone from the zoo who is not attending the evening event.  Those who have the combo or evening ticket will be asked to wait at the Range of the Jaguar area till all those who are not attending exit.

At 5:45-6:00 we will all be meeting at the Trout River Grille to get some food and then wander about on your own schedule for the Lantern Photo ops.  There will  be 70 displays throughout the zoo.

It will be optional if you want to meet for dinner.  This is a good time for all of us to gather.  The restaurant will be open from 6:00-9:00 during the event.  They do not take reservations so if we meet just before they open, hopefully we will be able to order right away.

If you prefer to eat there earlier in the day it closes at 4:00.

Gear

Mid range (24-70) and Telephoto Zooms along with your favorite primes will work for both zoo animals and the Lanterns.

Tripods may be needed for best results on some of the evening Lantern images.

Camera phones can also return excellent results on Lantern images.
