When and Where
To Be Determined:
We will carpool or drive independently on I-95 S to Exit 278 and follow Old Dixie Highway to Bulow Creek State Park. There is no entry fee to the park and there is ample parking plus restrooms.
IMPORTANT: The park entrance is easy to miss.
From I-95 Exit 278, drive 2.3 miles on Old Dixie Hwy. Look for the entrance to the Heritage Plantation community on your right. The entrance to the park is about 75 feet further to your left.
All participants should plan to leave the park no later than 8:30 AM
To maintain coordination, each vehicle should have an occupant with a cellular phone.
Ormond Loop information
Ormond Scenic Loop
We will travel a 20+ mile loop of roadways traversing some of the most beautiful and diverse natural scenery remaining in all of coastal central Florida. There is ready access to the Atlantic Ocean, State, County & City parks, vistas of rivers, creeks and marshes, barrier island dunes and beach, and historic dwellings as well as museums and historic public buildings.
But we must hurry, the encroachment of housing
developments is overtaking "Old Florida"
