Nik Plugin for Photoshop and Lightroom have been cutting edge for a number of years. They were sold separately or as a collection for $500. Many photographers were in love with these plugins. The black & white plugin, Silver Effects Pro, was/is an icon in the field. Then a few years ago Google purchased the company and reduced the price to $150. That was when I purchased the collection. I have been very happy with these tools. They have not changed much since Google purchased them but they do keep them updated to work with the latest versions of Photoshop and Lightroom.
Yesterday, Google made a startling announcement. They are reducing the price to free. Ladies and Gentlemen—Step Right Up.
