MINUTES OF JCC MEETING – April 18, 2018 – SOTW

Brian Leonard – Opened the meeting at 7:02 p.m.

Outings – John Neel – May 4th, Zoo Outing & Workshop – Young McQueen working on payment plan, so you will need to re-register again. An email for registration and payment will be going out in the next week. On Friday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. at SOTW John Reed will be giving info on how to shoot at the Zoo. Then on Saturday, May 5th will meet at the Zoo at 7:30 a.m..

Then on May 16th John Reed will give his comments on the images from the Zoo outing. Each member that submits an image it will need to be in RAW format so John can edit the image.
$30.00 for seminar – Friday night
$17.00 for Zoo – Saturday morning
If you are a member of the Zoo you will need to let John Neel know your member number. Deadline is April 30th for payment. Look for Eblast.

Prints – John Neel – 2nd Quarter prints are due May 2 and May 16. To print label go to Contest — JCC Print Label and upload image. Will show how to upload a digital copy of your image.

Website – Young McQueen – Dirk was kicked out of Hospice – no signs of cancer. Ran into Paula Paderalla and she said to tell everyone hi.
St. Augustine Bird Festival – go to Nexus and there is a code to let you get into the door for free.
Suggestion Box has been added to Home Page.
The Weekly – green button to fill out form and will post.

Treasury Report – Jim Jordan – Treasury Report – 1st qtr. January 2018 – $15, 107.00 and March 31, 2018 – $12,739.00. Paying out for the banquet.
Pretty much at the same place as last year need to grow.

F3C – Julius Dean – Digital Contest – Marek Pawlowic won 4 ribbons – 2 red and 2 yellow.
If you win 12 blue ribbons you will be considered a Master Photography. This started as of 2018.

F3C Print – competition – begins the 1st of May and there is a $5.00 charge to help for mailing. Only one meeting to turn in prints is at the May 2nd meeting.

New Member Guidebook – Don Dymer – is creating a new member handbook. Mark Phillips is working on Retention, Duffy McCoy is on Recruitment and Jennifer Thompson is on Membership. Need a write up on each of the items listed.

New members and Visitors – Jennifer Thompson – No visitors or new members.

Brags – Brian Leonard – Dee Hartmann entered in the Greater Jax Fair and received a Blue Ribbon and won $3.00.

Sylvia Agreda-Kostin thanked the Club for the Sympathy card that she received.

Fun Run at SOTW – Irene Ward helped out and check out their Facebook page.

Raffle – Anita Fanic – $53.00 – $26.50 for the club and $26.50 for Bill McSherry.

People’s Choice – Mays Theme – Body Parts – Tina Jordan told everyone to get their image in and they will also get a point for entering their image and if you place 1st-3rd you will receive a ribbon.

May 2, 2018 Meeting Program – Olustee and Savannah results – Brian Leonard and John Neel will be showing some of the images from these two outings. Will be editing images in the RAW format.

Tonight’s Meeting Program – Print Critique – Bill McSherry – The panel of Judges for tonight’s print critique are Paula Griffin, Young McQueen and Charise Tanner.

Brian Leonard adjourned the meeting at 8:48 p.m..
