Franklin lies within the Nantahala National Forest and is situated between two popular scenic gorges, the Cullasaja and the Nantahala. Comprised of over half of a million acres of unspoiled beauty, the rolling mountains rise to peaks over 5,000 ft. high from the valley of the Little Tennessee River. Spectacular waterfalls, fantastic hiking trails, pristine fishing streams and abundant wildlife are among the area’s many natural treasures.

Meet-up location: The parking lot of Lowes located at the intersection of US 64 and US 441. This allows leaving any autos in the event of car pooling.
